As campus administrators, police and IT professionals, you’re dedicated to providing a safe environment to those entrusted to your care, but achieving it comes with many challenges and requires innovative solutions delivered with minimal disruption. You grapple with stressors, such as:
Public events that attract crowds of varying sizes, such as fairs, festivals, markets, marathons, sporting events and outdoor concerts
Appropriate situational awareness for short-term or long-term events that can vary in location from one year to another or from one event to another
Blind spots (areas that lack surveillance) around your campus that make it difficult to monitor vulnerable areas in the outdoors where crime tends to trend
As a result, bolstering security is critical, but disruption of scholastic activity can be a barrier.
High-resolution video surveillance
Actionable video analytics
Accurate gunshot detection
Continuous bullet-resistant power
Onboard intelligence, storage and wireless communications
Numerous campus blind spots, including parking garages
High and uncontrolled foot traffic from the surrounding downtown
Many outdoor venues with no access to fixed power or communications to provide security
Parents and community always asking what they are doing to prevent or be proactive about active shooter incidents
Saved $700,000 per mile without the need to trench for power and connectivity
Saved $250,000 per mile without the need for third party gunshot detection monitoring
Defining their status of embracing innovative technology
Students, parents and faculty feeling safe on campus
